Black History Month, not widely celebrated in the Caribbean, holds particular significance in the Caribbean diasporas in Canada due to the legacy of slavery and the fight against racial discrimination in this region.

« Valorisation de l’histoire des Noirs francophones en Alberta », en collaboration avec Denis Perreaux, présentera les grandes lignes du projet de collaboration parrainé par la SHFA. Notamment un survol de l’histoire des communautés des Noirs francophones en Alberta et les messages clés de sensibilisation sur l’importance de archives chez les individus, les familles et les communautés. Finalement, l’assistante au projet, Ruth Moké, présentera le Forum en ligne pour la participation du public.
